Excalibur has made three key promotions in its expanding sales team.
Emma Carter, who three years ago joined Excalibur from Biffa, is now Sales and Marketing Director, whilst Becky Gale and Darren Harper have both become Sales Managers.
Currently looking for more new recruits to meet demand for its communications and IT solutions, Excalibur CEO James Phipps believes that industry experience isn’t always essential.
“We always invest in the person”, he said. “Emma Carter came to us from a waste management company with a very solid track record for delivering exceptional results. With her first-class knowledge, presentation know-how and exemplary customer service skills, you’d have thought that she’s always worked here”.
Phipps also pointed to the inaugural and highly successful running of Excalibur’s first Business School in 2015, from which the newly promoted Becky Gale and Darren Harper were both graduates.
“This was the single largest investment in training that we’ve made in our 22-year history”, added Phipps. “The Business School is open to all staff. There are real, structured opportunities to progress at Excalibur. The investment is not just financial. We commit a major amount of time into develop our managers of the future. We are a proud Investor in People who treats people well and wants to see them shine.”
