Kroll Ontrack Helps Flood Victims

Kroll Ontrack has announced it is offering support to UK residents affected by the recent storms across Britain. During the Christmas and the New Year period a series of severe storms, flooding and power cuts have damaged homes and appliances, including personal computers and mobile devices. In response to the crisis, Kroll Ontrack has pledged to provide victims with the following services for data files impacted by the storms:

•Free data recovery evaluation
•15% discount on the final recovery if the client wants to proceed

Kroll Ontrack warns that if equipment is exposed to water, owners should not try to dry out the damaged files or equipment by exposing it to heat. Instead, they should securely place the media in a padded container and get it to a recovery specialist as soon as possible.

“Power cuts, flooding and energy shortages are having major impacts on our lives and businesses, but as long as people know who to turn to for help then data stands a good chance of being saved” said a spokesperson from Kroll Ontrack. “People should also never assume that data is irrecoverable. Professional data recovery services offer the expertise and tools required to recover data quickly and successfully. Kroll Ontrack has a proven record for success and we are always here to help victims during a crisis.”
