Westcon has hired an experienced channel leader to head its Palo Alto Networks business and increased its dedicated Palo Alto Networks pre-sales and partner support team with additional heads in sales, marketing and renewals.

Stewart Legge, with over thirty years’ channel sales, security and business management experience, has joined Westcon as Palo Alto Networks Vendor Manager. Based in Westcon’s new Bracknell security and services facility, Legge commented: “Westcon has an enviable reputation for the scope and quality of its partner support and services. We can now provide faster and better solution support to partners from the increase in our dedicated Palo Alto Networks pre-sales team to three, all of whom are Palo Alto PSE qualified. Our account managers are all Palo Alto Networks trained, so with our specialism in marketing and renewals, provision of accredited training through the Westcon Academy and full global and professional services support, partners, large or small, local or global, can tackle any opportunity with confidence and incredible efficiency.”

Westcon Channel Development and Alliances Director, Michael Cox, added: “Stewart needs no introduction to many partners and has a long and strong record of innovation and growth delivery. He has driven results by widening the channel and deepening the type of business partners engage in. As a major Palo Alto Networks force in the channel, we’re looking forward to bringing the combined benefits of Westcon’s enhanced capability and Palo Alto Network’s leading technology to new and existing partners.”

Legge has previously held vendor and channel management positions at Arrow, Forcepoint, IBM, Oracle and Sun during his long career. He brings a wealth of security and partner management experience to Westcon, an authorised Palo Alto Networks training centre and leading global distributor.
