Lotus Racing on Pole Position with VoIP Unlimited Sip Over Ethernet

VoIP Unlimited has been named as Official Technical Supplier of Lotus Racing, providing a 100Mb bearer circuit to the UK headquarters based in Hingham, Norfolk.

The deal provides Lotus Racing with an IP Ethernet connection which will be used for voice and data, transferring large engineering data files, fast internet access and terminating the team's SIP telephony calls via a SIP trunk.

VoIP Unlimited, specialist SIP trunk provider, continues to gain SIP business delivered on VoIP Unlimited's Ethernet circuits, removing the need for expensive and inflexible ISDN30 lines.

"Speed and reliability are attributes shared between the team and VoIP Unlimited's network", states Steve Bieniek, VoIP Unlimited's Sales Director.

"We are pleased to be associated with such a historical, high quality brand in motor sport and look forward to supporting the team during their 2010 season."

VoIP Unlimited have been providing SIP over Ethernet to customers for a few years now and are starting to see significantly more interest from larger organisations who choose to invest in these faster and more reliable types of connections.

The Ethernet service is based on a secure layer 2 MPLS platform and is directly interconnected into VoIP Unlimited's core network, eliminating potential latency issues. VoIP Unlimited has been operating business grade ISP services since 2006, controlling the crucial delivery of the IP access to customer's sites.

As part of their ongoing communications strategy, Lotus Racing will see a number of business benefits including free international calls between race circuit and UK head office, instant increase of call capacity and fast, stable internet connectivity.

The (SoE) SIP over Ethernet service is currently available to any geographic location in the UK and allows VoIP Unlimited to continue their commitment to delivering the connectivity element for business grade SIP trunks.
