M-Files on UK Channel Drive

IT
M-Files Corporation, a provider of solutions that dramatically improve how enterprises manage documents and other information, has announced the company is actively recruiting channel partners in the UK. The campaign follows the announcement M-Files opened a new UK office based in Reading, and has expanded its channel team.

The company’s expansion plans in the UK are being driven by market demand for its enterprise information management (EI M) solutions across a broad range of vertical markets, such as manufacturing, engineering, local government, energy (oil, gas & mining) and financial services. The M-Files reseller channel was a key driver of the company's worldwide growth in 2014, with total revenue generated through the company’s reseller network growing by nearly 80 percent compared to 2013. Currently, there are more than 400 M-Files partners that operate in more than 100 countries around the world.

Julian Cook, Director of UK Business, M-Files, stated: “The IT-savvy UK document management market is growing quickly because organisations of all sizes and across a wide array of industries are looking for easy-to-use and secure alternatives for managing their information assets. Many traditional document management systems have proven to be both complex and difficult to use, with low levels of user adoption and satisfaction. M-Files offers an alternative - an enterprise information management solution that not only eliminates content chaos and information silos, it does so while enabling fast and easy access to the right documents and other information from any core business system and device.

“We have aggressive growth targets both here in the UK and globally and are therefore looking for channel partners that can help in that drive. For those in the channel offering solutions from traditional vendors such as Alfresco, DocuWare, Laserfiche, Onbase and Easy Software, M-Files offers a highly configurable, easy-to-use and secure alternative for managing information assets. Furthermore, we believe that for the channel our proposition is clear: if you're a reseller looking to be at the vanguard of the fastest growing EIM and enterprise content management (ECM) eco-system and work with a vendor that is known for its partner-centric approach to business, then come talk to us about this growing market opportunity.”

The M-Files channel expansion push comes as an increasing number of UK businesses are realising that information management is a strategic priority, and it is driving them to eliminate manual processes and replace existing document management systems while also having the flexibility to manage their information assets in the cloud, on-premises, or in a hybrid cloud environment. Common requirements include the need to transition away from the use of unmanaged network file folders, and getting control of personal and less secure file sync and sharing apps for managing business content.

Cook continues: "Traditional document management and ECM systems generally haven’t met expectations for a variety of reasons, but a common one is low user adoption because they are complicated or cumbersome to use, so employees just work around them. M-Files is bringing a new approach to information management that is simple and intuitive without trading off the advanced security, workflow and compliance support companies are demanding. We offer our partners the ability to seize opportunities in the rapidly growing market of enterprise information management.”
