Distributor Magirus has announced the launch of its ‘Channel Connect ‘08’ series of seminars for resellers to be held in May in the UK. The Seminars represent a forum for resellers to get together with Magirus and leading vendors to hear about the technologies and solutions that will be the hot topics for the Channel and IT in the next 12 months. This is an integral part of Magirus’s strategy to develop strong relationships and high-growth, best-of-breed technology solutions for its partners.
The Seminars will take place on Wednesday 14th May at Oulton Hall in Leeds and on Tuesday 20th May at The Berystede Hotel in Ascot. At the Seminars Magirus will give its view on how the Channel is embracing new technology to evolve new business models and what skills are needed to maximise the opportunities. The Seminars will include a ‘Vendor Village Solution Centre’ to get resellers up to speed with the business applications that utilise the latest, emerging technologies to create flexible business solutions.
Representatives from some of the most influential organisations in the Channel and IT industry will be speaking at the event including industry analyst firm Canalys, to vendors such as BEA Systems, EMC, VMware and Vizioncore. The seminars are free to attend for resellers on a first come, first served basis.
Andrew Binding, vice-president, Northern Europe at Magirus who will be speaking at the Seminars commented, “The IT industry becomes more and more chameleon-like where the Channel must invent new business models to survive and grow. Our aim for Channel Connect ’08 is to bring vendors and resellers together and support them in doing this. Also, we want our partners to walk away with new revenue-generating ideas for business areas that leverage emerging technologies and help put them into practice for their customers.”
