Magirus Kicks off UK Expansion Programme

Distributor Magirus has launched its 2007 expansion programme following record growth in UK revenues which have doubled in the last three years, and the creation in November last year of a new Security division.

Magirus say this represents a key step in the company’s strategy to differentiate its business by offering leading technologies and services to partners as well as supporting the business’s transformation as a consultancy-led distributor. Based on four core areas of service, the model supports and will drive new business for its reseller base. As part of the programme, Magirus will recruit over 20 new employees in the next 12 months across the business.

To meet forecast growth for the UK business and to further implement the vision, over 20 new jobs will be created at the Bracknell headquarters across the business including: security; virtualisation; storage; enterprise servers; training and services. Currently, Magirus employs 50 staff at its Bracknell office.

The programme sees the opening of its expanded headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire with a new customer demonstration centre and an extended training centre, doubling the size of the UK headquarters. Partners will be able to bring their customers to the demonstration centre and see how different emerging and established technologies can combine to provide solutions that benefit their businesses.
