Margolis First to Open Tandberg Centre of Excellence

Video conferencing vendor Tandberg has approved the first Centre of Excellence with Platinum Partner, Margolis Technology

Located in central London, the centre provides an impressive demonstration of Tandberg’s total visual communication solution, which includes products such as Tandberg 6000 Profile MXP, Centric desktop systems, the MOVI Webcam Server and a fully integrated network infrastructure suite managed by the Tandberg Management System. The centre demonstrates the value to customers and prospects of Tandberg’s vision for “natural communication”.

The Centre of Excellence will allow Margolis to widen their reach and attract more local prospects by using their own demonstration facility. “We want to grow the market for visual communication and Tandberg can provide users with a total solution, from webcam conferencing to telepresence,” commented Scott Taylor Commercial Director for Margolis. “The Centre of Excellence enables us to offer customers an impressive demonstration experience. Using this facility, we can easily show end users the quality of visual communication technology today.”

The Centre of Excellence Programme acknowledges the ability for Authorised, Premier and Platinum level partners to demonstrate, design and support Tandberg’s total visual communication solution. By establishing themselves as a Centre of Excellence, partners can help customers experience the full range of video solutions for themselves. Each Centre meets a certain set of criteria including a range of endpoint and infrastructure products, network capability, lighting and room design, and employee demonstration capability.

“We highly value our partner relationships and continually develop new initiatives to support our partners and help grow the market place for visual communications,” commented Wayne Stephens, EMEA Director Partners and Alliances from Tandberg. “The Centre of Excellence will give both Tandberg and Margolis the opportunity to take our vision for “natural communication” to more end users by providing a greater geographical coverage of well equipped demo centre’s and qualified demonstrator staff.”
