Master Agent TBI enters UK market

TBI, the largest privately-held US-based Master Agent, has announced its expansion into the UK, focused on technology distribution of next generation services including cloud communications, CPaaS, infrastructure, colocation, SD-WAN and cybersecurity. The UK expansion compliments TBI’s existing business of 35 vendors, represented across 40 countries by US-based agents.

By providing real technical advice and training, marketing and pre- and post-sales support, TBI, founded in 1991, has built a practice to help IT consultants, VARs, MSPs, system integrators and telecommunication professionals with more than vendor sourcing and commissioning.

TBI sees within European cloud market growth an opportunity to leverage its position with global technology providers, utilizing its cloud expertise in infrastructure, communications and network to help companies lower IT infrastructure procurement, maintenance costs and advise on scalable cloud options.

Global Market Insights predicts that the cloud computing market in Europe will be over $75B by 2026. As the European government pushes for greater cloud adoption, there is significant opportunity to help businesses increase security measures, assist with SaaS integrations, help reconfigure networks to account for cloud technologies and replace legacy IT infrastructure.

“Within the last few years, TBI has seen a shift within businesses abroad to rely on the technology consultant as a trusted advisor. Our European partners are increasingly key components in the technology supply chain,” commented Geoff Shepstone, TBI president. “These consultants are also recognizing the value of what Master Agents offer as far as access to key vendors along with the resources and support needed to provide clients best-in-class advice, solutions, cost and implementation.”

A first step in TBI’s expansion is the hire of Toni Leopoldo as director of sales. Leopoldo brings nearly twenty years of IT and SaaS sales experience to his role, which will be responsible for leading TBI’s UK/European business, building partnerships, and managing additional in-market support.

“We are extremely pleased to have Leopoldo leading TBI UK as our director of sales,” said Keith Connolly, vice president of sales at TBI. “His prior work within the reseller space, combined with that of UCaaS and SD-WAN expertise on the supplier side, will no doubt be useful to our Europe-based partners and will aid in their growth objectives.”

"I look forward to introducing TBI to the UK and European markets,” Leopoldo remarked. "While the value proposition of a Master Agent is just starting to take hold in the UK market, I'm confident TBI's differentiators of technical expertise, operational excellence, training programs and marketing support will truly enable European-based resellers opportunity to grow their respective businesses.”

Leopoldo views communications as being fundamental to all companies in the new realm of work. He believes the current world crisis of COVID-19 has brought to light the need for businesses and workforces to be agile, commenting, “The network, applications and security are critical components to ensure remote work is optimised and productive. TBI is proud to offer cutting-edge technologies from vendors around the world and deliver these services and technologies to our partners and their customers—now, when they need it most urgently, but also in the future when the need is ongoing.”
