MatsSoft appoints John Pulley

As Business Process Management (BPM) and Workflow Management Solutions (WMS) become top priorities in improving productivity and justifying innovation, MatsSoft appoints John Pulley to manage growth.

MatsSoft, the Bedfordshire-based developer of integrated process tracking and communications solutions, has reaffirmed its ambitious growth plans with the appointment of industry specialist John Pulley as Director of Sales and Marketing.

Pulley will focus on building upon the early success of MATS® (Multi Application Tracker System) a web-based managed service that unites workflow, automated communications and real-time reporting tools, to improve the efficiency of customer-facing operations across a broad range of organisations.

The technology has been adopted in the financial services sector, where several of the UK’s largest banks and building societies have deployed MATS® to facilitate more efficient working practices, improved customer service and greater productivity within particular service areas such as mortgage application processing, complaints handling and ISA applications. More than 40 per cent of the UK’s mortgage applications in 2012 will leverage MATS®.

Pulley said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to take the MATS® proposition forward, not least because it addresses issues to which we can all relate. As customers ourselves, we all know what it’s like to feel starved of information about the status of our application or enquiry, forcing us to call the company for an update. A spiral of frustration ensues, exacerbated by the length of time it takes to resolve the issue. But it’s also important to bear in mind the pressure this places on the staff within an organisation. What’s great about MATS® is that it removes resultant mutual irritation by keeping both staff and customers better informed.

“Already, deployments within banks and building societies have demonstrated the phenomenal effect our solution has on customer satisfaction, employee motivation and organisational efficiency. We have proven what can be achieved. My task now is to demonstrate the competitive advantages of MATS® to even more organisations and partners.”

MatsSoft CEO Martin Scovell commented: “John’s arrival at MatsSoft is a real boost, providing the additional leadership and experience required by our board during a period of growth. We had taken our time over this critical appointment and are now confident that our go-to-market plan will deliver significant contribution and increase market penetration over the coming years. Watch this space!”

Pulley has a track record of leadership roles within IT and telecoms that stretches back over two decades. He joins MatsSoft from ISB where he directly influenced the creation and development of the digital channel strategy at Lloyds Banking Group.

Prior to this he also enjoyed significant success at mBlox, France Telecom Group, SITA and Sprint. His arrival at MatsSoft marks the latest phase of the evolution of the company, which has offices in Bedford and London.
