Talend has today announced Alan McFarlane has been hired as Partner Manager, UK&I. In his role, McFarlane will focus on accelerating the adoption of Talend’s cloud solutions portfolio by building out its channel of cloud-first VARs, system integrators, and distributors in the UK.
McFarlane joins Talend from Insightsoftware where he held the position of Business Development Manager, UK&I. His previous experience includes roles at Deloitte, Oracle, Unisys and Information Resources Inc. (IRI Software), giving him a full breadth of expertise across the UK cloud, analytics, and big data industry from both a direct and partner sales perspective.
“Alan will be a key driving force behind extending Talend’s presence across the UK channel,” said Patrick Booth, VP UK&I, Talend. “As someone who has had experience of both direct and channel sales, Alan will help us optimise the balance of our UK sales operation. This strategic appointment will help us achieve the growth we are targeting in this market and support the success of our partners and customers.”
