David Meads has become the new Lead of the Cisco Partner Organisation in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia (EMEAR)

David currently leads Cisco’s Middle East and Africa business and will continue in his position, based in Dubai, until the end of the fiscal year. The search for a successor is already in progress.

An accomplished leader with a deep knowledge of Cisco, its business and its opportunities, David is regarded for his international experience having worked across the EMEAR region for 10 years. Originally joining Cisco in 1996, David held several leadership roles in the UK before moving to Johannesburg as general manager for South Africa in 2010. David's role expanded to lead Cisco's Africa business in 2012 before taking on the combined Middle East & Africa role 2 years ago. David also has a great understanding of the partner landscape having worked in one of Cisco UK's largest Cisco Gold Partners for 10 years.

As a leader, David puts great emphasis on relationships and developing an open and inclusive culture. Most importantly, he will be a strong and respected voice for partners in the EMEAR leadership team. He will work closely with Wendy Mars’, President of EMEAR and Oliver Tuszik, Senior Vice President, Global Partner Organisation.

Partners are the company's primary route to market representing approximately 80% of revenue, and a unique differentiator in helping deliver business outcomes for customers.
