On its stand at Convergence Summit South, Micro P is demonstrating its ability to be a truly converged distribution partner for dealers and resellers from the traditionally separate worlds of comms, mobile and IT.
Sales and commercial director, Paul Bryan, stated that Micro P has spent the last two years hoisting the flags of mobile and comms, and putting specialist teams in place for audio and visual (AV) to compliment its expanding traditional base in IT.
“Our heritage has been around IT and peripherals, but with this converging market, IT, AV, PBX and mobile is all coming together. We are fantastically placed to be a one stop shop for resellers and dealers, and if we get this right, we should be able to take a fair marketshare.
“Here at the show, we are demonstrating how the world of comms and mobile mixes in with our IT heritage. Call in and we’ll do everything for you!” he added.
Bryan noted that the challenge for Micro P is in making access to these three knowledge bases simple for the channel. “Since we have set up the comms and mobile divisions, we have attracted new partners from both these channels. All three groups, including IT, are meeting in the middle. Our biggest difficulty is to make it easy for resellers to talk to us about everything, to access the competence and benefits that Micro P has to offer. We are definitely making headway here.”
Micro P is set to make a big announcement about a new tier one networking vendor distribution agreement on 25 October, added Bryan. Read the next issue of Comms Business to find out more!
