Micro-P Re-organises Divisions and Targets Cisco SME Growth

Distributor Micro-P has re-organised its divisions. Paul Bryan, Sales and Commercial Director, said, “Our strategy to deliver convergence for both our customers and our vendors is an area we understand and strongly feel, as a technology distributor with significant experience and vast product portfolio, we are best placed to deliver.

As we move forward with our plans to further develop our convergence offering it is vital that we not only bring our products together to provide unified solutions, but that we unify our operational team to ensure efficient delivery. In order to achieve this we have moved our PBX systems and associated telephony product in to our Server storage business unit and moved the headset, dect and phone products in to our Mobile Communications business unit.

Our UC sales execution model will be driven by 2 focussed NCS teams (Network Comms Solutions): The North (Altham office) dealing with mostly the voice reseller community and the South (Basingstoke), mainly the data reseller community.

Ultimately these changes will ensure we continue to deliver both the solutions and service to best benefit both our vendors and our customers.”

Managing Director Gerry O’Keeffe told Comms Business Magazine, “Our resellers expect Micro-P to bring voice and data communications together rather than create another Rocom.”

Micro-P is expanding in to a new 18,000 sq ft office in Basingstoke – a third bigger than their old offices.

O’Keeffe puts his rapidly growing sales success down to three key factors; experience, the longevity of staff and the overall pool of talent within the company. “Resellers will soon see our Cisco roll out plans where we will be helping channel partners target the sub-100 user market. Cisco has achieved tremendous success in the US with their SME products and expects to appoint 320 resellers here in the UK within the next 18 months.”
