Micro-P Re-Structures for Convergence

Networks & Network Services
Micro-P has restructured its networking and communications business in a move that sees the departure of Phil Adams, Head of Communications, and Philippa Parrish, Head of Communications Sales.

Paul Bryan, Sales and Commercial Director, said, "Our communications business has gone from strength to strength, growing 55% year-on-year. Notably, we are seeing growth across a number of channels driven by a healthy peripherals mix.

"Housing the comms product suite within our Networking Business Unit ensures that that the communications business operates effectively through the multiple sales channels of Retail, Voice, IT VAR and specialist integrators."

PBX system sales for Samsung and NEC will now fall under the remit of Rob Hendry, Head of B2B Sales, who also oversees Micro P's northern operation.

UC peripherals, conferencing, SIP terminals, headsets and hosting services will now fall under the wing of Networking General Manager Simon Barnard.

"This new structure enables us to drive sustained growth both in systems and peripherals, but more importantly leverage our voice and data customer base.

"Micro-P extends its appreciation to Phil Adams and Philippa Parrish who both played a significant role in growing the communications division."

Comms Business Magazine notes that this move will enable Micro-P to focus clearly upon the convergence of voice and data applications in the channel.

Editor Ian Hunter commented, “By having products and applications more aligned to the networking division of the company Micro-P will be able to offer the best of both worlds to the more data centric reseller looking to break in to the voice applications market as well as to the voice reseller seeking to identify and supply networking infrastructure solutions. Micro-P has a wide range of products and services, including Mobile solutions, where resellers can source expertise as well as product to deploy real joined up convergence to their clients. This move will improve those prospects and potential for both parties.”
