Micron Delivers New Telecoms Service to the Building Industry

Micron Communications, the voice and data engineering specialist, has teamed up with Gamma Telecom to provide a complete engineered solution for all voice and data communications

Micron’s new hosted IP service will be aimed at the construction industry, enabling fast set up times at site offices and a constant flow of communication between multiple sites and the Head Office. The service will bring a host of additional capabilities which will mean that users never need to lose business through missed calls again. Micron has already begun talks with a number of high profile construction companies who wish to take up the new service.

The partnership with Gamma means that Micron can now offer reliable IP voice calls alongside its existing engineering solutions such as the supply, implementation and maintenance of site telephony, as well as broadband systems and communications consultancy. Building on its existing reputation for convenient and rapid implementation and excellent customer service, Micron will use the FeaturePlus service from Gamma in order to extend its capabilities in providing reliable telephony solutions to its customers.

Jonny White, Business Development Manager of Micron Communications, commented, “We originally selected Gamma to help in our new venture because of their innovative services and products. Gamma has proven to be an excellent partner and most importantly, has allowed us to complete our communications solution, so that we can bring all the benefits of IP telephony to our end-users”

James Bushell, Senior Product Manager at Gamma Telecom, added: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Micron Communications. Our FeaturePlus service is ideal for the construction market that Micron is targeting, as it allows fast and flexible installation, non-geographic numbering, call forwarding and the ability to drastically reduce call costs between sites. With Micron’s expertise in installation and pedigree in the telecoms industry, the construction industry is about to become well connected!”
