Youth Options seeks to provide help and support for the young people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight through activities and social education programmes that develop, inform, educate and entertain in an atmosphere of honesty, fair play and responsible concern for themselves and others. It is not unusual for Youth Options to have contact with 30,000 young people in one year and public donations are critical source of income for the charity’s important work.
Commenting on his marathon run Michael says, “I chose to support Youth Options when my 20 year old son Ross was killed in a car crash on 1 November 2008. Because of the great work they do with the young people of Hampshire, where I live and work, I felt that in some small way by supporting a charity that deals with not just the less fortunate, but youngsters from every aspect of our community, there was a relevance to Ross’ life”.
