MintTec Celebrate 10 Years Trading

Its celebration time for Winchester based Systems Integrator MintTec having just entered their 10th year of successful trading they have managed to buck the market trend by posting growth during their last financial year ending April 2012. With offices also in London, they are well situated to work with clients across the South East and within the M25 corridor. They have great plans to celebrate which will involve their clients, suppliers and of course the team. We’ve been promised pictures!

There is no time to stand still however - for this year, MintTec have already announced new partnerships with two of the biggest names in cloud computing, Wyse Technology & Citrix Systems. Wyse provides thin, zero and cloud PC client solutions with advanced management, desktop virtualization and cloud software supporting desktops, laptops and next generation mobile devices. Citrix powers mobile work styles & cloud services using networking and virtualization technologies. These collaborations show a determined effort by MintTec to stay at the forefront of the emerging technologies including cloud platforms.

MintTec’s Director, Peter Ray, explains the reason for their success: ‘I can’t deny its tough out there. Many of our clients have had to pull in their reigns and consolidate their spending and this has hit our market. MintTec have really worked hard during the last financial year to keep ahead of the curve and make sure we give our clients the competitive advantage and this has helped us actually increase the amount of work we are doing. So whilst we have reached out to new clients during the year, we have also increased the services we have offered to our existing clients and this allowed us to grow. Ultimately for us it is about giving the right advice and repaying the trust our clients put in us- we call this ‘Transparent Accountability’, which is part of our companies DNA”.

A recent ‘Big Win’ MintTec really demonstrates how their Transparent Accountability works. A large and very well-known Medical College in London was working directly with the manufacturer Dell but didn’t have the comfort factor that their needs were being addressed, so as a trusted and long term partner, MintTec were asked by the client for their unbiased advice and assistance. The result was that the client received the right solution tailored to their exact requirements, the industry leading and innovative Dell Compellent storage solution, and MintTec were successful on a great contract which was completed at the start of May 2012. Win-Win for the College and MintTec!

For 2012/13 financial year MintTec are expecting further managed growth – this will not only include their current key areas of networks, server/desktop virtualisation, storage and voice systems where they offer services from design & supply through to support, but will also include additional cloud based services. Expect to hear more from them later in the year!
