Mistral selects iPass for customer Wi-Fi roaming

Mistral, a provider of business communication services, has announced a deal with iPass to allow its customers – a range of businesses from SMEs to corporates - to connect securely worldwide using iPass’ expanding global network of over 300 tier one providers

As part of its product set, Mistral will provide each customer with an iPass account, allowing it to take advantage of access to email, the Internet or a corporate VPN whilst away from home or the office. Mistral customers will use their existing Mistral login to access the service and will be charged at a flat rate of 17p per minute.

iPass provides wired and wireless Internet access in locations as diverse as airport lounges, railway stations and hotels, making it a necessity for any corporate traveller who needs to stay in touch on the move. It has reciprocal roaming deals with hotspot providers in most continents, giving it one of the largest aggregated hotspot networks in the world with over 21,000 active Wi-Fi locations in 62 countries. Mistral’s customers are a wide range of UK businesses across the public and private sector that take advantage of scalable product offerings from straight-forward Internet connectivity, hosting or security through to a fully hosted IP PBX system.

“Our customers currently benefit from one of the widest product portfolios and most advanced CRM systems in the sector, developed in-house by our own technical team,” explains Karl Robinson, managing director of Mistral. “Easy-to-use, low-cost reliable Internet access as part of the product package was something our customers have asked for, and choosing a leading network like iPass for this added functionality was a key way to differentiate ourselves from our competitors.”
