Doug Michaelides, described by Mitel as a highly accomplished senior executive, has been named global vice president of marketing reporting to Paul Butcher, president and COO. Michaelides replaces Steve Davis who left Mitel last August as is now VP for sales and marketing at VoIP gateway vendor VegaStream.
Michaelides had a 20-year career in Sales and Marketing at Nortel Networks, culminating in the role of vice president and general manager of their global professional services business in 2002. Most recently, he was senior vice president of marketing at Allstream, one of Canada's largest business telecommunications service providers, where he transformed the go-to-market model with a segment-driven, solutions-marketing approach, driving brand awareness and market growth.
At Mitel, he has senior management responsibility for the company's overall marketing initiatives.
