The new Telecom Networks framework agreement, awarded by OGCbuying.solutions, an executive agency of OGC in the Treasury, starts this week. It will enable MLL to supply equipment, managed services and consultation to organisations throughout the public sector including hospitals, schools and local and central government, under pre-agreed terms and conditions.
To date, MLL has worked with partners such as BT to build networks in public sector organisations including East Sussex County Council, North Yorkshire County Council, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, Dorset Police, North Dorset District Council, plus a number of NHS locations.
Rick Hudson, CEO of MLL Telecom, said: “Wireless networks are attractive to organisations which need to build cost-effective, scalable high-capacity broadband networks quickly. During 2007 we have seen an increasing interest in our capabilities from the public sector. This newly awarded OGCbuying.solutions certification will enable us to address this increased demand directly.”
