Mobile data secured with 2e2’s Endpoint Encryption Managed Service

2e2, a provider of mission-critical IT services, has today announced the launch of its new Endpoint Encryption Managed Service (EEMS²), designed to ensure data stored on employee laptops and PDAs remains safe and secure. Customers will receive military-class encryption using McAfee Endpoint Encryption, supported by guaranteed 24/7 user access and technical support. Delivery is charged on a per month, per user basis, so businesses only pay for the capacity they actually use.

This addition to the 2e2 Managed Security Services portfolio provides instant protection and is deployed within a matter of days by certified information system security professionals. Customers have complete control over their own systems with a centralised management tool for security policies and functions, and as a managed service, there is no need to invest in hardware and software, professional services, 24/7 support and operational management, giving an overall lower total cost of ownership.

“With 15,000 laptops being either lost or stolen in the UK last year, the risk of a security breach within an organisation is very high and very real. You only have to look at the number of news stories on this subject in the last six months to appreciate the seriousness of it,” said Adam Kamruddin, Line of Business Director, Managed Services, 2e2. “EEMS² gives businesses peace of mind, knowing that if any laptops or PDAs do go missing, the encrypted data stored on them won’t. As McAfee’s most experienced endpoint encryption APS partner, we feel that we are in an excellent position to protect organisations against the loss of hardware and the possible theft of their data.”
