Siemens AG's Communications (Com) division will announce additional job cuts at its international operations within the next few weeks, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported citing unnamed sources saying 'every region worldwide must participate in the job cuts during the next 18 months'.
Siemens announced in April it plans to cut up to 1,000 German jobs at the Com division.
Recent reports in the German press indicated the total could reach 1,200.
However, the division's works council head Bernd Lehmann told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that 200 to 300 employees will likely be transferred to other divisions within the company.
