Natterbox extends office into the field

Natterbox is to launch what they describe as the latest development in hosted voice technology to UK businesses – a service specifically for mobile devices.

The company says the service, called Voice Anywhere Mobile Branch Exchange (MBX), is different to both on-premise PBX and Hosted PBX because it does not require the use of landline phones. Instead the service provides all the functionality of a landline phone on a mobile device.

Traditional landline features, which Natterbox now makes available on a mobile, include; short code dialling (dial an extension using the short ext code), transferring calls between mobile handsets, using short code dial, hunt groups, IVR switchboard, unwanted call blocking and call queuing.

Neil Hammerton, CEO of Natterbox, said, “Voice Anywhere MBX removes the restrictions of desk-bound, office-based landline phones to maximise mobile workforce efficiency. Our lives are mobile. Remote working is not a new concept however mobiles have been somewhat out of sync and separate from the office communications flow, until now. MBX works on two levels because it frees ‘voice’ from the office and it improves the visibility and connectivity of conversations. Both customer experience and business operations are instantly improved.”

Natterbox’s Voice Anywhere MBX is completely cloud-based so there is no software or hardware to install or apps to download.
