NEC and Wyless form Strategic M2M Service Partnership

NEC Corporation and Wyless Inc., provider of global machine-to-machine wireless connectivity solutions and managed services, announced today that they have signed a memorandum of understanding to form a strategic alliance to explore end-to-end M2M service opportunities.

Under this agreement, NEC will promote Wyless’ advanced management software “Porthos(TM)” to mobile network operators and enterprises worldwide. In addition, NEC will add “Porthos(TM)” to its enhanced M2M CONNEXIVE solutions. This converged solution enables mobile network operators and enterprises to maximise user experience while minimising their operating costs and optimising their revenue from rapidly increasing M2M connectivity services. Furthermore, in return, Wyless will promote NEC’s M2M CONNEXIVE solutions to its customers.
