Communications vendor NEC has announced that despite the current recession, its sales in September were the highest on record for the UK business.
NEC has listed a record number of sales of its flagship Communications Server SV8100, topping off significant growth in the first six months of the year. The company is also celebrating year-on-year growth in the UK.
“I’m delighted with our performance during the 1H (fiscal) 09, and in particular September’s outstanding achievement,” commented Andrew Cooper, NEC Sales Director. “The results are testament to the hard work of the team here in the UK; it also ratifies NEC’s decision to invest as a business when others have cut back.
“NEC is perfectly positioned to strengthen its position in the UK market, following recent investments in our new headquarters and demonstration facilities and with further investments expected in the coming months, NEC is rapidly becoming the brand of choice,” added Cooper.
The NEC UNIVERGE SV8100 is a robust, feature-rich business telephone system that makes Unified Communications (UC) a reality, bringing the complete converged VoIP solution to the SME market, with and enterprise-class call centre applications.
