NEC Launch Newest Platform for Smarter Communications

NEC Infrontia is launching the SL1100; a smart communication server that is specifically directed at smaller businesses. An intelligent communications platform, the SL1100 packs affordability, efficiency, IP-telephony and ecology into a single system.

Lex de Gier, Vice President Sales & Marketing at NEC Unified Solutions remarked, "Following the successful expansion of our business and market share across EMEA, we see tremendous opportunity for further growth in the small business market segment. The SL1100 has scalable architecture, top of the bill functionalities and an excellent price point.”

NEC says that with an excellent spec for its price, the system can address the requirements of a business on a budget. Meeting the needs of the increasingly mobile workforce, a mobile phone can be designated as the answering terminal when users are away from their desk or the office. With access to system features on a mobile, such as caller ID, call transfer and voicemail, it really is like being in the office, whether you’re travelling, on leave or stuck in traffic.

An organisation can start from a minimum of 4 trunk lines and 8 extensions. “The SL1100 provides a cost-effective and feature rich solution for even the smallest businesses,” says NEC Sales Director Andrew Cooper. The system also allows automatic standby mode during office closing hours, providing energy efficiency to benefit the user, while contributing to a healthier world.

“The SL1100 is our most reseller-friendly series so far,” says Cooper. “At NEC we pride ourselves on being easy to do business with, and the SL1100 is no exception; we’ve ensured that set-up and system commissioning time can be brought down to an hour, providing an excellent benefit to resellers once out the road.

This is a powerful system at this end of the market. Taking the SL1100 into a portfolio is a simple and straightforward process for a reseller, placing them in a strong position against their competitors.”
