NEC Stands Out at Nimans Demo Day

Distributor Nimans says that resellers travelled from all four corners of the UK to get their first glimpse of NEC’s new SL1100 system which took centre stage at a Nimans product demonstration day - at the company’s Manchester headquarters. Resellers from as far as Scotland, Ireland and East Anglia attended the day long event and hailed NEC’s new innovation a resounding triumph.

NEC’s SV8100 and XN120 also shared the limelight with a host of other third party products such as headsets and conferencing equipment. In addition Nimans showcased its extensive support services, including leasing, network services and technical support.

Hailing the SL1100 as “another new chapter in NEC’s continuing success story,” Nimans’ NEC Business Manager, Lynnette Smith, says both companies are working closely to highlight just how easy it is for dealers to take advantage of the new SL1100 platform – NEC’s most reseller-friendly system so far which has been designed to deliver more for less.

Resellers experienced live demonstrations and heard how the small business solution combines high value with high performance – as well as being easy to install, use and maintain.

There were plenty of plaudits afterwards, as one Norwich-based dealer remarked: “I’ve travelled hundreds of miles today but it was definitely worth it. We’ve been buying all our stock from Nimans for the last 16 years and this latest product fits our market perfectly. We deal with lots of small businesses so the SL1100 is the right size. It will go down a storm. We expect to sell a lot.”

His positive comments were echoed by a reseller who travelled across the Irish Sea. He explained: “It’s tough out there with the economy but we can now sell more of what customers’ require. In addition it’s been good to network with fellow resellers and staff from Nimans to see a broad range of products and services. It’s been a great insight into the latest trends.”

The SL1100 is ideally suited to the sub 30 extension market and offers an easy transition for SV8100 or XN120 trained engineers, according to Lynnette.

She concluded: “NEC has invested a great deal of thought into making the SL1100 one of the easiest systems to install, train and ultimately sell. It’s our job to help resellers make the most of this user-friendly technology ensuring it is as simple as possible to add it to their portfolios. NEC has taken time to understand the needs of resellers and end users to make using and selling the SL1100 such a painless process. The demonstration day was a great platform for everyone to build on.”
