New Channel Sales Chief at Siemens

Siemens Enterprise Communications today announced the appointment of Leon Mangan as sales director for its indirect channel in the UK. He will be responsible for the development and implementation of Siemens Enterprise Communications’ UK indirect channel strategy. Comms Business Magazine understands that Paul Morgan stepped down from his position as Sales Director earlier in the week.

Leon is rejoining Siemens after a spell at reseller Charterhouse Voice and Data plc, where he was telecoms sales director. He was previously at Siemens for seven years where he held a number of channel focused positions, including two years as head of SME sales for the UK.

“I am delighted that Leon has chosen to re-join the company and I believe his appointment will further accelerate the momentum we have built in the channel.” said Peter Keeble, sales and marketing director, Siemens Enterprise Communications. “His strong leadership skills and extensive experience working in this market area will not only benefit Siemens but, just as importantly, our channel partners as well.”

The indirect channel is an increasingly important route to market for Siemens Enterprise Communications. Mangan’s main priorities will be to achieve significant volume growth through the channel, deliver an aggressive channel partner acquisition plan and effectively introduce new innovative products to the market. A key focus this year will be to ensure Siemens Enterprise Communications’ channel partners are trained to implement the latest Siemens Open Communications technologies.

“I think the opportunity for Siemens and our partners in the SME market is fantastic. We have market-shaping technology that will enable existing and future channel partners to build value in creating propositions that match the requirements of the demanding small to medium business segment,” said Leon Mangan, “I am looking forward over the next few months to further developing effective and successful partnerships with the UK indirect channel.”

Leon lives in Northamptonshire with his wife and two children. He is a keen sportsman with particular interests in football and rugby.
