New, faster, cheaper business Ethernet from Griffin

Demand for faster, more reliable access is on the increase in the SME market but even the most competitive prices fall outside the reach of some. This is about to change with the launch of FTTC Ethernet from Griffin.

FTTC Ethernet is a new low cost alternative to EFM using Fibre To The Cabinet backhauled over BT’s National Ethernet Network. Simply put, it is cost effective blend of Ethernet and next generation uncontended access offering symmetric speeds of up to 20Mb/s with a 25 day lead time.

“We are blown away by this product. FTTC Ethernet is coming in at a price point below any other Ethernet product in the market. Our trials suggest it is extremely reliable and delivery is quick and predictable. This fills a gap in the market for low cost, uncontended access with fast lead times.

Currently only 50 of the estimated 500 FTTC exchanges are enabled for FTTC Ethernet however BT Wholesale plans to roll out 10 per week. Talk Talk Business say they plan to release a similar product in the autumn. As more cabinets and exchanges are enabled we are planning for sales to go through the roof.” Lee Broxson, Head of Sales, Griffin.
