Sharedband has launched a new portal for channel reseller partners to manage multiple customer accounts easily online using a single log-in. Once signed-in to the secure portal a reseller can see performance parameters for a variety of customer account activities related to the Sharedband bonded internet solution. This includes active and non-active status on bonded connections.
This type of approach to managing resellers and allowing resellers to access services easily online has proved a popular path with man suppliers in the channel of late. With the main advantages being efficiency and cost savings how do resellers react to the new technology? Are you you using a porthole service with your supplier? Tell us about your experiences in the comments section.
Resellers can also access the new private web portal to create new customer accounts, add or delete lines and IPs, as well as monitoring their customers’ performance. Multiple staff log-ins for the portal provide for varying levels of access. The portal records full audit trails on all activity on a customer account so that any changes can be traced back to authorised user and date. An open API allows the portal to interface with other reseller applications such as a billing platform.
Sharedband’s patented technology is designed to radically improve the performance and resilience of internet connections. The Sharedband core software solution aggregates multiple internet connections (DSL, cable, fibre, wireless) into a single high-performance connection that is flexible and scalable. It works with standard ISP services and low cost hardware making deployment seamless, fast, and affordable.
For reseller partners there is a white labelled wholesale subscription model where Sharedband provides the delivery platform, third level technical support, ongoing software updates, and infrastructure. Resellers set their own pricing as a stand-alone service or bundled with other services or products. There also is an agent partner model paying residual commissions on customers who purchase and install Sharedband services.
Commenting on the launch of the new partner portal, Tim Burne, Chief Operations Officer for Sharedband stated, “This new portal improves on previous partner access by providing a single log-in for all of a reseller’s Sharedband customer accounts. It makes it much easier to monitor and modify existing accounts and to add new customer accounts. The open API means the portal can be linked to other packages such as accounting, CRM or billing to improve efficiency.”
