New Secerno Sales Manager to Expand Channel Operation

Database security company, Secerno, has appointed Kate James as Sales Manager. James will be responsible for driving new business and working in conjunction with the company’s reseller partners to expand its channel operation.

James brings to the role more than seven years’ sales experience in the IT security industry. In her previous role as Regional Sales Manager with Secure Computing (formerly CipherTrust), James managed the top-performing sales team in Europe. She was also responsible for major new business wins, including several FTSE 100 organisations.

Prior to Secure Computing, James was worked at Sophos Plc, where she was responsible for enterprise sales, typically at companies with more than 5,000 users. She was the company’s Salesperson of the Year in 2003 and 2004.

“It’s a very exciting time to be joining Secerno. Recent high-profile breaches mean database security is moving higher and higher up the security agenda. Consumers are also becoming increasingly aware of the need to protect their personal details, which is putting even more pressure on organisations to prove they take database security seriously,” says Kate James, Sales Manager, Secerno. “Coming from a security background, I can confidently predict that database security technology will very soon be considered as imperative as anti-virus, firewalls, and other traditional security technologies.”
