Next Connex Hosts First Quarterly Channel Event

MSPs
Next Connex has begun to hold quarterly channel partner events. Their partner Datum Datacentre in Farnborough was the first to offer to host an event day.

The theme of the day was ‘Is Public Cloud Safe and Reliable Enough for My Business’, and featured speakers from hybrid cloud providers Skybrid and Attenda, illustrating the benefits of public cloud integration and hybrid cloud strategy. Not-for-profit IT industry trade association CompTIA delivered a seminar on ‘Accelerating Cloud Business Growth’ also.

Next Connex Commercial Director Richard Auld officially launched the ‘Next Cloud Connex’ product, which provides direct connections to all the major public cloud providers through their core fibre network, not over the public internet.

Former Scottish Rugby International and Saracens locks James ‘Big Jim’ Hamilton brought his energy and passion to the day with an informative, upbeat talk, followed by a question and answer session. The day was well attended, with over 75 delegates from over 60 companies making the trip to Datum at Cody Technology Park in Farnborough.

Sales Director Sam Field explained, “We realised early on that if we want to make our channel partnership programme successful, we have to invest in our partners’ success; not just through discounts and incentive schemes, but through sharing our knowledge, advice, and assistance. Filling any knowledge gaps in order to help partners close more business, while recommending their services to other partners to help them grow”.

Next Connex has compiled feedback from its partners to ensure that the Q4 partner event on Wednesday 9th December is even more enjoyable.
