Nimans Dismisses Unified Comms ‘Myth’

Distributor Nimans is reinforcing the message that unified communications is suitable for businesses big and small, dismissing any myth that it should only be aimed at larger corporate organisations.

“My view is that unified comms has nothing to do with the size of a company,” said Systems Sales Director, Phil Adams. “There seems to be a myth in some parts of the market that it is not suitable for small businesses.”

Phil says the key for dealers is to identify how end users interact with their customer base. “It all depends on the type of business and what they need to do to improve their performance and efficiency,” he advised. “Many companies have analysed how much every inbound call is worth to them in revenue. It could be £5, £50 or even £500 so they cannot afford to miss an opportunity. Unified communications combines various ways of keeping in touch - from a deskphone to a mobile and e-mail, so it allows businesses to communicate in the most effective way possible to maximise sales opportunities, merging web activities with voice communications.”

From his own personal experiences as a customer Phil knows the effectiveness of high quality rapid communication - and he is keen for more dealers to embrace this technology. He explained: “I recently placed an order for some garden lights on line but cancelled them when it appeared they could not be delivered in time. However a few hours later I received a call from the business asking why I had not proceeded with the order. I explained the situation and they were able to deliver the next day so they secured my sale.
