Telecoms distributor Nimans has joined forces with SIP trunking specialist Voiceflex to provide resellers with a comprehensive platform to fully exploit this growing area of the market.
Operating across all its system brands – Avaya, Ericsson, NEC, Panasonic and Siemens – the new partnership will open up more revenue streams for Nimans’ customers, allowing them to benefit from a wealth of expertise and cost effective services.
“The platform is now firmly in place for us to actively promote new technologies within the telecoms arena which generate more revenue streams and opportunities for our customers. Our partner of choice is Voiceflex,” confirmed Nimans’ Sales Director, Phil Adams, who predicts SIP or Session Initiation Protocol as it is formally known, will emerge as one of the biggest market forces, eventually spelling the end of ISDN as we know it today.”
Paul Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director at Voiceflex shares Phil’s enthusiasm and says dealers will benefit in several significant ways by the partnership. “All the major manufacturers have SIP connectivity built into their platforms as interest and market opportunities move forward at a phenomenal pace. We very much look forward to offering our expertise to Nimans’ channel partners who will gain all the support they require as they work through the inevitable learning curve which occurs with any new technology.
“For many dealers SIP is a phrase they have probably heard of, but are not sure what it actually involves and the impact it is going to have on the telecoms market. In simple terms, SIP is a unique protocol that binds different applications such as video, voice, chat, gaming and virtual reality and allows them to communicate on a seamless basis. SIP is an application layer control (signalling) protocol for creating, modifying, and terminating sessions with one or more participants. These sessions include Internet telephone calls, multimedia distribution, and multimedia conferences.”
Turning to the new alliance, Phil continued: “This is a joint enterprise. We’ve worked very successfully with Voiceflex in the past who are regarded as one of the market leaders in this field. We’ve already hosted a large number of very successful educational roadshows to demonstrate the power of SIP and also the vital role that Voiceflex as a SIP specialist plays in this growing technology.”
He added: “We believe that working with Voiceflex is an easier and better solution; easier to set-up, use and manage. We want to provide our business partners with access to exploit emerging areas of the market. SIP is next generation technology which has the potential to revolutionise the industry. Our business partners need to embrace SIP to ensure their sales continue to grow and flourish. Nimans already has the expertise in place which has now been significantly strengthened by the Voiceflex platform.”
