Nimans Get Your Man

Former Your Communications’ Channel Marketing Manager Stuart Bradshaw has been recruited by Nimans to handle a similar role as the Manchester distributor restructures and strengthens its marketing team.

Nimans says that Bradshaw’s appointment to the newly created channel role will be followed imminently by the recruitment of a new Head of Marketing and a PR manager.

Prior to his post at Your Communications he spent five years with Apple working in both its UK and European headquarter in Paris, handling a variety of sales and marketing roles. He joined as a Retail Field Sales Executive supporting the launch of the iMac and then took a marketing role as Training and Field Support Manager. Serving the European retail market this saw him managing the Macintosh Solutions Consultant Programme which involved placement of in-house Apple specialist within key retailers across Europe. His last Apple position was as iPod Channel Development Manager for the EMEA region.

In his new role Bradshaw say he wants to ensure Nimans becomes more pro-active in supporting its dealers by improving the flow of management information and aligning activity more closely to sales teams and suppliers so that resellers benefit from a three-way relationship. “I want Nimans to continue to be responsive to dealers’ needs, but also to be more pro-active,” he said. “We can do this by being more informed about our customers and the products and propositions they seek. By making better use of management information we can better profile our dealers in terms of the products they sell and the market in which they operate. Then we can better target our own proposition.”

Julian Niman concurred, adding that the company recognised that its continued growth meant it needed to strengthen its marketing support function. “We have, and have always had, a very strong marketing services team producing excellent support materials. But our growth means that we must now set in place a structure that enhances our strategic thinking and provides the necessary infrastructure to implement it. This series of senior appointments will achieve those aims.”

He added that the two further appointments would be confirmed within the next few weeks.
