Nimans Gets in Tune with Unique Music On Hold Solution

Nimans has created a specially adapted CD player which allows resellers to capitalise on continued demand for traditional music on hold technology - as an alternative to more modern MP3 files.

The distributor has spent several months developing the unique technology which they say is in response to customer demand. Complementing the CD players is a licence paid CD containing various music tracks and reassurance messages.

Gary Redshaw from the distributor’s purchasing team says there is still strong demand for CD-based music on hold players - which work with traditional telephone systems - despite the rise of MP3 solutions.

“Lots of existing communication technology still requires CD-based music on hold hardware. Over the last few years there has been a demise in the manufacture of traditional CD players so we have stepped in to fill a major gap in the market. We expect this product will prove extremely popular. It has been developed by our in-house technical department in conjunction with one of our leading suppliers.”
