Nimans is reporting a huge surge in IP end point sales as hosted telephony continues to grab a bigger share of the limelight. The fast-growing distributor, renowned for its traditional PBX roots, has evolved into a complete communications partner where demand for IP handsets such as Microsoft Lync optimised devices has trebled in the last 12 months.
Ian Brindle, heads up the company’s flourishing handset division and says Nimans is emerging as a major force in the hosted arena – both as a dedicated hosted service provider and a leading supplier of end points from major brands such as Polycom and Yealink. He believes Nimans is ideally positioned to help resellers capitalise on growing market opportunities, working in partnership with hosted communications and Software as a Service specialist SIPCOM.
In a further boost, monthly sales of Polycom devices (in March) are up 52% compared to 2011, fuelled by the company’s largest-ever handset order.
Ian emphasised: “The latest industry research indicates a 35% year-on-year growth for hosted solutions across the country and this is being reflected here at Nimans where demand for hosted telephony and its associated end points has reached record levels. For example, we’ve just completed a £150,000 order to supply (via a reseller) 2,500 handsets to a public sector organisation.
“The hosted market is simply too big for resellers to ignore. It’s a multi-million-pound arena, growing on a daily basis,” Ian added.
