Staff at Nimans are ready for winter after the company provided free Flu jabs to help ensure they remain in tip-top health.
Dozens of workers from across the business ‘got the needle’ from a qualified nurse to protect themselves from traditional heavy colds and fever in the run up to winter. The project is part of the company’s Investors In People ethos which has now been elevated to Gold status.
Executive Director Phil Gee said this was the first time Nimans had conducted such an exercise, which proved a resounding success.
“More than 60 members of staff took advantage of a free Flu jab to make sure they have the best chance of remaining healthy throughout the winter months.
“The vaccine is a preventive measure which lasts for one year and it was very gratifying to see so many staff take up the opportunity. It’s another example of how we continue to invest in staff welfare as people are the heart of our business.”
