Nimans Launches Upgraded Doro AUB Range

Nimans is backing Doro’s long awaited launch of the new generation of AUB business phones after assisting the manufacturer in redesigning the new look units.

Having been sold in their millions since their launch 15 years ago, the AUB range has garnered a reputation as the workhorse of the industry due to a reputation for durability and reliability. Now they have been refreshed with a new look and features. They also satisfy new EU safety rules* which come into effect on July 1st and limit the use in manufacture of potentially hazardous substances such as cadmium and mercury.

The units have been redesigned following consultation with major distributors such as Nimans according to Doro’s Country Manager, Chris Millington. “We went to people like Nimans and asked them what they wanted from new models. They told us that they wanted something similar but with a fresh style and, that as buying habits had changed, we should have a more compact but feature rich range,” he explained. “We’ve taken those comments on board and added tweaks such as introducing RJ45 and BT line cords.”

Nimans has stocks of the new AUB 200 and 300 models which are priced at £13.95 and £19.45 respectively and replace the top-selling AUB 1MW, 3MW and 6MW. Both units are backed by Doro’s famed 10 year replacement guarantee with the AUB 200 featuring three one-touch and ten two-touch memories, headset connector with line button, on-hook dialling, computer/fax connector, redial, adjustable volume control and ring tone, a visual ring indicator and PBX message waiting indicator and is hearing aid compatible. The higher spec AUB 300 offers all those features plus 16 one-memory buttons, a 20-number phonebook, a five-number redial memory, 30 number caller ID memory with call waiting, a two line 16 character display, hands-free functionality/ two way speaker phone, data port and call timer. Both models are available in either black or white.

“With millions of AUB units out there the upgrade market is potentially massive,” commented Nimans’ marketing manager Paul Huxley. “AUB commands a lot of respect and we fully expect these more feature rich and stylish units to be in great demand because they closely mirror market needs.
