Nimans offers City & Guilds training programme

Nimans has launched its first-ever City & Guilds training programme. Hosted at the company’s Trafford Park Trade Counter training facility, initial courses span copper and fibre optic cabling as well as electrical installations.

“This is the first time we have offered City & Guilds courses which are being run in conjunction with approved specialist TotalComms Training,” says Trade Counter Manager, Geoff Wilde.

“The courses enable a reseller to demonstrate their levels of competency and qualifications that are needed to gain on-site access in certain circumstances.”

Basic Principles of Communication Cabling is the first course which takes place on March 25th. Copper Cabling In An Internal Environment runs from March 26th to 28th. It is followed by a five-day Fibre Optic Cabling in internal and external locations, which begins on April 1st.

Geoff added: “This is another valuable string to our evolving customer service proposition. There’s big demand for these type of courses and people have been asking us to host them. They enable resellers to keep up to speed with new regulations and specifications and lots more courses will follow.”

Also available is training regarding the requirements for Electrical Installations, alongside an ECS Card (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme).
