Nimans is predicting record demand for the Aastra 400 series of communication servers after seeing sales rise by 35% last year.

Aastra’s innovative SMB platform is gaining significant market share, fuelled by the extension of a special upgrade offer involving discounts of up to 30%. The promotion is running until the end of March and aims to encourage businesses to replace older Aastra Intelligate, BusinessPhone and OpenCom systems.

“2013 was a tremendous year for sales and we expect the forward momentum to continue throughout this year,” said Paul Burn, Head of Category Sales at Nimans.

The Aastra 400 series comprises three versions – the Aastra 415 for 4 to 12 users; Aastra 430 for up to 50 users and the Aastra 470 for up to 400 users (or 600 multi-site), utilising open system architecture for maximum future proof expandability. They all provide a wide range of embedded services such as presence, video telephony, fixed mobile convergence, one number, auto attendant and voice mail.

Burn concluded: “The Aastra 400 series has been specifically developed to enhance business performance by improving internal and external communication, saving time and cutting costs. The range is simple to use and install and creates an exceptional customer experience. Resellers have given a very enthusiastic response and thanks to the in-depth sales training and our continued general support we expect orders to continue to accelerate. All three versions support legacy connections, so SMB’s can migrate to IP at their own pace. All types of trunks and extensions are also supported as part of a very powerful and compelling all-round package.”
