The move is being seen as a significant step forward by Nimans which has galvanised its long-term relationship with global conferencing giant Polycom - further accelerating the growth in unified communications.
“We now have a direct relationship with Polycom to cover all their IP handset range, primarily based on hosted solutions,” confirmed Nimans’ Head of Conferencing and Handset Sales, Ian Brindle. “This creates a powerful proposition and many new opportunities for resellers to take advantage of, such as service, convenience and technical expertise.”
Nimans is forecasting a 35% year-on-year growth for IP hosted end points across the industry and can offer resellers a fast and quick route to capitalise on new business opportunities - based on a pre-provisioning service where devices will be pre-configured to speed up on site installations.
Nimans has also added Polycom’s complete Microsoft OCS certified portfolio - from the CX100 USB speakerphone and new CX500 and CX600 IP phones to the CX3000 IP conferencing unit and CX5000 unified conference station.

The big message is that right from hosted solutions though to integration with unified comms via OCS, anything under the Polycom voice umbrella is available through Nimans.
