Nimans Unveils New Marketing Team

Distributor Nimans has unveiled a new-look expanded marketing team that boasts decades of experience as part of a diverse and flexible skills base.

The division is spearheaded by new Head of Marketing Stuart Bradshaw who has been promoted from Channel Marketing Manager. His replacement in that role is Martin Boffey who arrives from Brother UK where he was employed for seven years as Channel Marcomms Manager.

“This enhanced department further demonstrates how Nimans continues to drive forward and offer our customers an even more diverse range of services, enabling us to provide a more pro-active client and market-intelligence led support function,” explained Stuart who in a previous high profile role worked as Apple’s iPod Channel Development Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

He pointed out: “The team combines a wealth of experience with flexible and creative communication skills that will enable us to build on Nimans’ already massive industry profile and market-leading pedigree.”

Martin, aged 36, brings specialist knowledge of the diverse UK IT and office product trade channels to Nimans, as well as hands-on experience regarding the creation of effective marketing collateral.

He said: “I have many years experience in developing trade marketing for use by industries shared by Nimans. I understand how the various channels interact and respond to distributors and manufacturers alike. I am really looking forward to utilising my strategic skills in my new role as I feel they will prove beneficial to both Nimans and its extensive customer base.”

Another new face is Chris Widocks who has been appointed PR Manager, whilst Philippa Maher completes the reshuffle following her elevation to the recently created post of Marketing Services Manager.

Chris has almost 20 years Journalism and PR experience and joins Nimans following six-and-a-half-years at a Manchester creative design and marketing agency.

“Nimans is a great success story, from smashing through the £55m sales barrier for the first time to moving into multi-million-pound flagship headquarters and implementing a major management restructure, there’s certainly plenty to shout about,” he explained.

The 37-year-old is a former news agency Editor where he worked for TV and radio stations as well as the national and regional print media. He is looking forward to raising the company’s profile far and wide, and added: “I want to use my extensive media experience spread over the last two decades to help catapult Nimans onto a new level of media exposure, building on its already impressive pedigree and profile.”

Philippa meanwhile, joined Nimans two-and-a-half years ago, having previously worked in the dynamic marketing team at PC World Business. She is now responsible for managing and developing the whole Nimans creative team, taking responsibility for all its marketing communications.

She remarked: “This is an exciting time for the new Nimans marketing department. We are a 10-strong team of experienced individuals with a diverse mix of skills, covering all aspects of the marketing function. The team’s creativity, passion and attention to detail allows for an in-house ‘agency’ type environment through PR, advertising, print, promotional and web marketing. Uniquely, Nimans also offer a range of tailored Marketing Services to dealers allowing them to promote their company in a consistent way through strong, bespoke marketing communications.”
