Nine Wholesale’s 2013 incentive had partners on the edges of their seats as the fourteen lucky winners and staff members flew out to Abu Dhabi for the Grand Prix in November this year.
Places were awarded to resellers who demonstrated their commitment to Nine Wholesale during a five month period in 2013, with the focus on sales of next generation products.
The winners enjoyed an extended weekend in Abu Dhabi, flying out on 1st November to the five-star Al Raha Beach Hotel to recuperate before heading off for a thrilling day of racing at Yas Marina Circuit the following day. During the weekend, guests were also given the opportunity to visit the exclusive GP3 paddock area to meet Nine Group-sponsored driver Josh Webster and the Status team, get up close to the cars and take as many photos as they wished, as well as enjoy the break-neck speeds of the nearby Ferrari World rollercoaster!
Debbie Wealthall from Supply Communications said, “Everything was organised to perfection, the accommodation was brilliant, the transport was really well planned and the Grand Prix itself is something that we will remember forever.”
“Yas Marina Circuit and facilities delivered the culture of the Emirates alongside the thrills and spills of Grand Prix racing,” added Mark Collett from IP Office. “Tickets and facility access delivered ‘fast track’ admission to all of the main attractions, all of which could not be faulted.”
Nine Group’s Commercial Product Marketing Manager, Marcus Dacombe, said, “The whole weekend was absolutely phenomenal. For the petrolheads (like me!), there were two full days of racing available, which was just fantastic even in the sweltering heat, and the visit to the GP3 paddock really made you appreciate how much effort and technical knowledge is needed behind the scenes. The best bit for me? Getting to see the Grand Prix, of course – I even watched the highlights back in the hotel at the end of each day!”
Often described as a ground-breaking combination of style and function, Yas Marina Circuit has been inspired by the culture and values of Abu Dhabi, creating the perfect location for the Grand Prix and, of course, the GP3 races in which Nine Group’s Josh Webster debuted this year.
“Thanks to all those that attended,” said Paul McEwan, Nine Wholesale’s Channel Development Director. “If you’ve not had the pleasure of attending a GP race in person I highly recommend the Abu Dhabi dusk race; there’s something truly spectacular about watching Vettel dominate the track in the evening darkness. Guests and staff had the most amazing trip and weekend – if not a little hot!”
