Node4 to Host Major High Street Bank Project

Managed hosting and Colocation provider, Node4 is to be the Data Centre of choice for Accountis Europe Ltd, a global provider of secure financial document exchange and payment systems, who are using their Node4 colocation space for a major high street bank project.

Accountis were looking for a secure Tier 3 Data Centre for a system they have created for one of their key customers which enables the bank to provide a VAT compliant e-invoicing service to their corporate customers.

“The challenge was for us to find a suitable facility that had good connectivity, resilience and in an easily accessible location” comments Martin Peglar, Head of IT Infrastructure at Accountis.

The colocation space in Node4’s Derby DataCentre2, has allowed them to host the live part of their solution. Accountis have recently expanded their space in Derby allowing them to provide hosting for some of their other customers, including some disaster recovery solutions.

Mr Peglar continues; “The Derby location of Node4’s Data Centre is easily accessible for our technical team which was one of our main requirements.”

The multiple Tier 1 transit carriers from DataCentre2 provide Accountis with a variety of connectivity options to choose from, including resilient connections to both Telehouse London and TeleCity Manchester direct from Derby. There is also the option to go via Node4’s latest Data Centre DC3 in Wakefield, giving Accountis the opportunity to expand their colocation space into another location within Node4 without having to re-locate their existing racks.

Andrew Gilbert, Managing Director at Node4 comments; “We are very pleased to be able to host a solution for Accountis, especially for such a high profile customer. I’m sure that there will be plenty more opportunities for this partnership to grown even further in the future.
