The first Nokia device to feature an eight megapixel camera, the Nokia N86 8MP will also be available through Carphone Warehouse, free with contract, from 19 June until the middle of July, after which it will be available from O2, 3UK, Orange and T-Mobile.
The most powerful camera Nokia has produced, it features a wide angle Carl Zeiss lens with an eight megapixel sensor offering a performance as good as that of a stand alone digital camera. The Nokia N86 8MP also incorporates cutting edge camera technology, being the first mobile device with a variable aperture, giving users sharper photos in low light, and wide angle (28 millimetre) optics.
The device is also the first to come pre-loaded with Nokia Maps 3.0, Nokia’s brand new mapping service, featuring rich 3D and satellite mapping and enhanced pedestrian navigation, including birds eye views of tourist landmarks.
The new Nokia N86 8MP is among the first Nokia devices to come pre- installed with the new Ovi Store, launched in May, which offers innovative and user friendly content including apps, videos, podcasts and location based services.
One exciting app available to download is Touchnote for Mobile, which turns the photos on your phone into fun printed postcards that you add text to and post directly to whoever you want in the world.
