Nortel BCM Gold for Datasharp

Nortel has named Datasharp as a Gold Solutions Partner for its Business Communications Manager (BCM) portfolio solutions. Gold Solutions Partner is the highest level of accreditation for Nortel solutions partners.

Datasharp was also appointed as a lead channel partner for Nortel’s BCM50 earlier this year. The BCM50 solution is specifically designed to deliver big business capabilities to small and home offices as well as multi-site and branch offices in such sectors as retail, real estate, education and government.

“Datasharp has set an excellent example of how to sell the Nortel’s BCM portfolio,” said Tony Bailey, vice president, UK and Ireland Channels, Nortel. “Because of their very clear understanding of the business benefits it presents – both to customers and to themselves – Datasharp has grown sales of BCM dramatically year over year.”

“They do not sell it only as a telephony solution but as a platform on which to deliver business critical applications such as VoIP, wireless LAN and unified messaging. With the addition of the BCM50 in the summer, Nortel now accounts for a significant proportion of Datasharp’s revenues from its rapidly growing customer base across multiple countries.”

“The Gold Solutions partner accreditation is very significant to Datasharp. It will further enhance our proven reputation for quality and service with our customers, and demonstrates our commitment to Nortel and the BCM portfolio,” said Peter Moseley, managing director, Datasharp. “We believe that our early investment in the knowledge required to deliver converged voice and data solutions has given Datasharp a considerable advantage not only in providing our customers with the right business solution, but with the backup to implement and maintain these solutions to the highest standard. IP Telephony has evolved into a consumer driven product. Together with Nortel, Datasharp continue to meet these challenges head on and with confidence and continued success.”
