Spring is in the air at Nortel. With PartnerFocus events taking place across the country, the introduction of a SIP-centric, open source UC solution for SMBs and now new management changes, there’s a palpable buzz all around the Maidenhead offices.
Tony Bailey is taking over as Leader, Pan EMEA Enterprise Sales, incorporating SIs, Distribution, SMB and Customer Contact Solutions, while the channel business is being consolidated with the direct touch team under Mario DiMascio as Leader, UK Direct Touch & Channels.
Bailey led the UK & Ireland Channels team to consistent growth and with this experience will be driving the transformation of Nortel’s EMEA Enterprise business as a software and services company.
DiMascio combines his Direct Touch knowledge with the Channel experience he gained at his previous employer, 3COM, to help drive consistent engagement and involvement of channels in the UK.
The company says it’s all part of the plan to pro-actively shape the future for channels.
The PartnerFocus events taking place across the country in April and May are half-day sessions designed to give channel partners an insight into industry trends, some training (in the form of workshops) and a bit of time to celebrate achievements.
