The transaction marks Northern Telecom’s fourth acquisition in three years and the company expects the combined business to create 11 new jobs over the next twelve months.
Soda Consulting was founded in 2014 and is based in Otley, West Yorkshire. The company has developed a loyal customer base across West Yorkshire, predominantly in the legal, retail and financial services sectors.
Jon Graves, managing director, Northern Telecom, explained, “In Soda we see a great product offering that hasn’t yet been able to break out from West Yorkshire and service clients further afield. With Northern Telecom we have a firm with a nationwide footprint that hasn’t yet tapped into the IT support and managed services market.
“The synergy between Northern Telecom and Soda means that we’ll be able to offer a compelling combined telecoms and IT support offering in the north of England and beyond that will enable us to reach our goal of serving 1000 UK businesses and government organisations by the end of 2021.”
